Help Support Shridhara Acharaya and His Family

Shridhara Acharaya, our beloved priest in the Albany community, is facing a life-changing medical crisis. We are coming together to surround him and his family with care and support as they face the difficult days ahead.

Following a sudden fall, he was rushed to Albany Medical Center, where doctors discovered severe spinal cord compression, a condition in which a ligament along the spine hardens into bone. Despite undergoing two major surgeries to relieve the pressure, he has not yet regained movement in his arms and legs.

For his family, this has been a heartbreaking and overwhelming time. They are taking each day as it comes, holding on to hope while facing uncertainty about his recovery. His medical team has explained that recovery could take approximately a year and a half, with extensive rehabilitation, physical therapy, and ongoing care.

As he is the main bread winner of the family, we are raising funds to help with medical expenses, rehabilitation, kid's college expenses and everyday needs. Our hope is to give his family some breathing room—to be by his side and focus on his recovery without the added weight of financial strain.
