Save the Oregon Dunes & Protect the Oregon Dunes is at a critical crossroads. Recent federal court rulings—stemming from a lawsuit targeting the U.S. Forest Service—have triggered sudden area closures, strict nighttime vehicle curfews, and blocks on commercial event permits across iconic locations like Banshee Hill. fewer than 400 coastal martens surviving across isolated pockets of Oregon and California—and only around 71 estimated to inhabit the dunes—this rare, weasel-like carnivore is at the center of a massive regulatory battle. While the landscape is a treasured home for native wildlife, it has also supported generations of responsible recreational riders and local communities who rely on open access.

We are raising funds to Fight the Legal Rulings: Retain specialized legal counsel to challenge overreaching restrictions and advocate for balanced, multi-use management plans.
