Hi everyone! My name is Jaina, and I’m a high school FFA member who is excited to take on a new challenge this year — raising and showing a pig through my FFA chapter!

FFA has given me so many opportunities to learn about agriculture, responsibility, leadership, and what it means to work hard toward a goal. I’ve previously shown chickens and competed in Vet Science, and this year I’m excited to take the next step by raising a pig.

Raising a show pig is much more than simply buying an animal. There are costs for purchasing the pig, feed, and supplies, veterinary care, transportation, and other expenses throughout the project. I’m hoping to raise enough money to help cover the initial cost of my pig and give me the resources I need to properly care for it throughout the season.
